Default About to join the 'dark' side

Hi All,

Ive been looking for a retro ride after selling my 1989 Porsche 911 carerra sport.
Im a big fan of German cars (Die Deutschen Klassiker) so Audi, Merc Benz and BMW were firm favorites.

I used to have a W123 280CE which was fantastic. Anyway, long story short, i have found this car for sale (and its not an Audi ):

1974 (although S registered) BMW 2002. 71k miles from new documented. 2 owner car. Looks sound, absolutly standard including period stereo and early cassette player. Current owner has original unused floor mats, paperwork, books, mud flaps and wool seat covers for those cold winter days. Made an offer of £1100 and had it accepted.

Car has been standing for 4 years in a heated garage without MOT and brakes are seized on. Minor signs of rust on front wings:

Looks like a good project, what do you all think?

personally, they are ugly cool!
I do have a soft spots for BMW's (E9's are about as sexy a car as you can get!).
The 1602 and 2002's look ugly but they are cool as fook!
I'd have it!

Yep 2.0 litre and RWD. Car only weighs as much as Kate Moss, this makes for fun handling.

I have plans to make it into a street sleeper, but not to much to detract from its original looks.

Not sure yet Coxy,

The guy selling it is going on holiday today and wont be back until the 2nd week in October. Im in no hurry and he hasnt advertised the car anywhere.

It needs a dam good clean though, so i will be contacting you as soon as i take delivery to book a slot.

I also need to arrange transport as the brakes are seized, so cant tow the car home. Anyone got a low loader i can borrow?
