Like many on here, I will be a bit bias, but for good reason!!!

1. My mate has a garage, and he sees lots of Jap cars. The main problem is price of basic parts when they do go wrong and also, most/lots of parts are dealer only and believe me, they are horendous! Example: Bog standard Nissan Primera MAF = £450 and is not available from anywhere else other than Nissan.

2. Subaru, especially are gas guzzlers (Mitsu won't be much better) I don't know much about the Nissan but see point 1.

3. BMW ok but RWD only so don't plan going out in the Winter - It won't go anywhere!!

Therfore, I'm with most here, and you certainly won't go wrong with an A6 - excellent car! Great value for money in every department!

Good luck!

are they tunable...

MRC's 2.7TT out ran all but one supercar at VMAX last year hitting 198mph. Does that answer the question?

the V6 2.5tdi i would avoid personally.

Opposite view to ISTOO. The 2.5 V6 TDI is great if you're doing big miles. Just make sure the belts and tensioners have been changed at 70/80K.

Funnilly enough, yes! I got some 8"x18" S Line (RS6) genuine Audi alloys today from a seller in Blackburn. 5 wheels all in very very good condition with very good 245/40/18 tyres (2x Conti Sports and 3x Mich Pilot Sports all 6mm of tread). The pic below is not my car, but it gives you an idea of how they look. They look spot on if I say so myself. I am normally one for keeping it standard, but I have never liked the standard 2.7T alloys. The 2.8 Competitions are a much nicer rim.
