Audi C3 Avant rear spoiler removal

Folks,

I've got the slimmer version spoiler on my C3.

Is it a difficult job to remove it?

Does it involve renewing gaskets/o-rings/sealant?

Good question, maybe glued on? The only bit I've never taken apart! I could do a trial run on a spares car for you and see what happens.

Don't go to any trouble on my account mate... I don't have any problem with my spoiler, I was just thinking about removing it in order to refurb it....

Parts diagram shows a cap/bolt/washer/grommet from the underside.
I'd not rather not disturb it personally.
What sort of refurb do you have in mind?
If I wash mine I just end up with a black rag. So I don't.

It's had approx 2cm of plastic gouged out and I thought I'd have it fixed professionally.

I've been quoted £180 (total) to repair a 3/4 inch long gouge in my C3 rear spoiler.

This is to repair/texture and paint the spoiler.

The quote is from one of those mobile body repair specialists.

Does it sound right?
