Default Water flange with temp sender on.

I traced an faulty Water Gauge to a plug in the egine bay a while ago and must admit not bothered to do anything about it yet. This is a 2.3 20V 7A engine. There is a water pipe which connects to a flange off the side of the block, on this flange is an electrical plug which seem to be the sender for the Water Gauge. This plug is faulty as the gauge works for a bit if a wiggle it around a bit/pull it out and push it back in.

Anyone know the part number for this part?

What do you need the part number for ?

The sensor, the connector or the flange ?

It's a common fault and its often the rubber boot fills up with water due to the sensor cracking (often overtightened or just old age).

The brown connector is NLA I believe

I assumed the sensor would need to be changed with the flange? The rubber boot has always been dry when I've checked but it's well perished and not doing alot

Great info as always thanks- looks like the right part to me. Its such a small flange that i was thinking it would all be one part- think its going to easier to take the whole flange off to change it.

Much easier job than it looks. If I remember rightly I disconnected the braided fuel lines, watch out for the release of pressure, to get better access but other than that it was straight forward job.
