Hi very interesting thread. Haven't been on here for a long time so thought I'd add a couple more Type 43's to add to your list.

Still have both cars unrestored and in storage in Devon but very surprised indeed to hear they're now so rare so nice to read they're becoming appreciated. Bought the GL5 E in about '87 or so which came off the road due to rust in about '94, then the 100 CS bought a few months later finally coming off the road in 2005 as couldn't keep up with the rust either. Otherwise I'd still be driving them both today !

Strangely I've never seen another Type 43 100 CS two tone on the roads, not just in the UK, but anywhere however I did read can't remember the exact figure, that only about 20 or 30 were imported into the UK but this could be wrong. But without doubt they've been the finest cars I've ever driven and why I've still got both of them, lots of great memories !

Default Typ 43 Dashboard

Whilst having a Spring Clean last week we found an un-cracked Dashboard, came out of a scrapper we stripped some years ago.

It is currently Green, but as we found in the past they can be successfully re-coloured using a dye.

Any interest? PM me.

It's bottom of the list at the moment, I have 2 transits, a B3 Coupe and 1961 Buick to do first along with customers vehicles so maybe next winter unless someone makes me an offer I can't refuse.

Here's a couple for you Chris, the car has been stood around 30 years, it was stripped a painted what looks like a champagne gold colour, as the guy reversed it out of his garage he opened the door to see where he was going and hooked the door on a post and creased the door a wing, it was then parked back in the garage and left, and it has changed hands a couple of times in that time with no progress.
The plan is a 60's era privateer drag car, roll cage, factory bucket seats, slot mag wheels, cherry bomb exhausts ect, the reason for this is the rear bumper didn't come with the car and I had the front bumper, seat and rear seat base stolen along with some scrap I had.

Bryan
