Continuing on my journey to get a working car together, i moved on to the brake flexis.
As expected, fronts are "nla" ( thanks audi!), still, the rears come up as available. However, my parts supplier checked the part numbers and came up with the following. Rear brake flexis are the same part number as Mk1 Golf fronts. Checking the new part against the old showed no discernible difference and at a tad over 7 quid each itd be rude not to. Part number is: 171 611 701 L Still, i needed front flexis and goodridge hoses may get used later, but for now i wanted to try and source the usual kind of item so taking an old one in for comparison, we came up with this. VW LT van rear brake flexis. Theyre marginally longer by about a half inch or so and my supplier only ever sold 5 of them in the entire time he's been trading but one was on the shelf for a direct comparison to be made. Part number there is: 431 611 707 Hope this is useful to someone. |
