Default 2 Year ongoing low power battle.

Hiya guys,

I've got a really interesting one for you here, i've been batteling with a problem for just over 2 years now, i usually love a challenge and very rarely give up on anything but now i'm at a complete loss with my Audi 200 TQ, 1B 10V...
Just over 2 years ago, whilst overtaking someone, 3rd gear i think, there was a huge woooosh and i lost all power. I cruised 300 yards to the nearest layby and popped the bonet, to my suprise the +ve hose on the turbo had popped off. I reattached it and tightened the hose clamp and carried on. However, since then the engine has just felt...lazy.
I used to short shift 2nd and again into 3rd and then floor the gas, just as it hit 3000 rpm it would nail you in the seat and keep pulling all the way. It just doesn't have that effect anymore... It picks up a bit at about 4000rpm but still no way near what it used to be.

I first thought i had a boost leak, stripped all the hoses and over a couple of weeks, changed them all. No difference. My next thought was that it had damaged the turbo somehow. A month or two later a brand new turbo arrived from 034 motor sport. Fitted it, No difference. I've also changed the exhaust, intercooler, head off and reground the valves, dissy, plugs, leads etc etc...

I suppose i'm really asking what could have been damaged when the boost hose popped off at full boost !?

Has anyone any ideas what i can look at next, i'm pulling my hair out!!!

Many thanks

Dave
