I was driving on the A406, got a bit hot decided to pull into BP petrol pump for a drink.
Came out jumped into my car, and noticed the accelerator pedal was flat on the floor Called the AA they told me 45 minutes so I said OK. Waited inside the air conditioned BP whilst reading magazines, had some lunch etc. ![]() AA guy came and pulled this metal bit out of the passenger side footwell, which has two sponge bushes on there. The bushes were shot as feck, and he told me I need too replace them. The metal bit holds the cable in place through the bulkhead via these spongy bushes. He then used two cable ties and fixed the accelerator cable. I drove back without any problems, ordered the bushes from work they were £5 each. Will make a photo write up when I change the bushes, for forum reference. |
