Yes, I did say 52nd. Deliberately. Our special relationship with our colonial cousins seems to always put us behind. (actually, there's a sodding good chance that we would be in the 60s)

Several of our elected leaders, past and present, have made reference to the subject of us being screwed, socially. Although party agendas tend to vary the view from 'we are screwed' to 'we just don't understand them(*)'

*(presumably, the yoofs et al, wot get a bit giddy of a night)
