93 100 S4 Avant 2.2 AAN petrol tank quiery

i need to swap the tank on my s4 as its split. i know by looking at vag-cat the part number is 4A0201075L for 100 Quattro models with the AAN,AAH & AAR engines fitted, but ive been offered a tank from a 96 A6 2.8 V6 Quattro and i dont know what engine code it is as the cars already been broken.

dose anyone know if it is compatabile???
