Default few bits

Replaced the front suspension over the weekend as i had a bent shock, wasnt sure what suspension it had and nearly criedwhen i saw they were boge turbo gas pressurized jobbies. Anyway changed them for boge oil dampers temporarily and also replaced the springs whilst i was there, old ones were H&R -35 as the replacements are but now the front end of the car has lowered like another 40mm!! any ideas why??
also brake master cylinder arrives tomorrow so want to change the fluid, is there a special way to bleed the brakes? im not familiar with this system, also want to change the power steering fluid. what power steering fluid shouls i use? and same for brake fluid?
thanks in advance
Andy
