Default breaking 1983 AUDI 80 GL

after a number of failed dead ends trying to source the current batch of parts needed to fix up mine I've ended up buying the below car off fleabay......

It's a shame to break one but it's got no tax or mot & done 162000 miles so its had a good life plus if it keeps mine & a few others on the road it's for a good cause. Anyway pretty much all the bits will be available once I've had what I need, I'm going to pick it up in a bit so I'll get some better pics up of the panels, shell, interior, engine bay etc etc.

Let me know what your after.................

That's a sexy-ass colour!

Let me know what the driver's seat is like under that cover dude, and do I spy electric windows?

I might also be interested in the windscreen if it's good, as I've got a chip in mine that looks like it might crack...

I'll be up in Birmingham soon to collect some wheels that are being refurbed, so I could follow on up the road to collect

Oh, and the wiper control as my intermittent setting stopped working.

No worries - I'll just stick with my keep-fit windows!

Need that seat though

Snorky ala Nick is after a set of brown carpets for his quad lamp Coupe. Do you think they will fit?

right, just up at the unit was gonna take some pictures, got 1 of the drivers seat & my phones just died so I'll have to stick some pics up 2mo but an update for those that have asked about bits......

graybum the seats very good if your being anal the paddings slightly gone in the side bolster nearest the door but there's no rips, tears or wear & the fabric looks like new & it works fine lifts up & down etc infact the whole interiors pretty mint passenger seats excellent too there's a slight bit of bleaching to the top of the back seat but its not to bad & all the door cards are good. Windscreens good too mate, the trim round it's faded but there's no chips or cracks.

coxy the headlight trims alright, the top piece above the drivers side is pushed in slightly though but theres no damage to look at, might be OK??.

Kully all the window trim on the doors are good no corrosion all straight & still nice & shiney.

All the glass is good with no chips or cracks.

All the heater controls etc work fine as do the switches around the clocks for lights, dash dimmer, heated rear window etc. The clocks work & have a rev counter but the mileage is 162000 on them.

It's got the original stereo in too, twiddly knob cassette player with FM/MW/LW.

Headlights are good as are the front indicators. Back passenger light cluster is good but the drivers side is smashed.

Head linings good, doors seem to be OK too but can't open the 2 rear doors from outside the car. All the door trims are good but the drivers side rear quarter is missing. Bumpers have seen better days, someone's tried to bodge the fog light back in on the drivers side & the back bumpers currently got a kink in it but not sure if this is due to the damage on the quarter.

its a 1.8 kicked up first time & has a 4+e gearbox that feels pretty good.

Roofs straight too has no sunroof but theres a big rot hole on the drivers side of the scuttle panel under the windscreen.

Thats all I can think of to put for now & I'll stick some pics up tomorrow.

Sounds good dude.

I may be picking those wheels up on Saturday, but I was then going to get back down to London as fast as my 80 will take me to go to the Volksworld show.

What are your plans Saturday morning?
