Thanks!
Don't you just love the uncluttered look of these old engine bays, not a plastic cover in sight either.

It will look even less cluttered when I have finished, the heater and air con have already gone as has the battery tray as the battery will be in the boot, the 2 horns will become 1, the wiring for the lights runs over the middle of the inner fenders which I will hide under the inner wing lip.
I have the seats, wheels, roll cage, Edelbrock inlet manifold with a 360 holly carb and 2 sets of headers, the big things to get are a wiring kit and the exhaust boxes.
You probably can't tell from the pictures but it is the Buick 215cu engine which is the daddy of the v8 Rover.

What about asking your man to produce a Glass-Fibre reproduction?

Thank you for that, you are so considerate of the feelings of old people

about 10 years ago we bought in a grille for a Shorty and had a mould taken off it from which about 20+ grilles were produced by a local chappy (they always have undisinctive names like A&B Mouldings) sadly he just disappeared, with some of our money, left his unit in a terrible state with tools and dust everywhere, I reckon it must be something in the acetone they use for cleaning, that destroys brain cells
