Default Battery playing up?

Not even cold and I think my battery's playing up?
Got up afew days ago,got in car and battery dead.Came home and put it on slow charged over night.
Put battery on next morning, started 1st time.
Next day was day off,so never used car.Next(this) morning, flat battery.
Came in,took battery off and checked voltage.12.6 volts,on meter.
I,ve put it on slow charge again and I'll check voltage tomorrow(day off).
If battery is ok,I'll have to rig up multimeter and pull fuses.
IF it is the battery, which type, size should I buy?(Maybe Bosch or Varta?)
Which is the best battery for my,KV 2226cc engine?
Thanks.

If the voltage is at 12.6v, but won't start, observe what happens to the voltage when you attempt to crank it over. If it drops under 9v then the battery has high internal resistance....that's ohms law and your battery is knackered, fact.
If voltage stays above 9v then your problem lies elsewhere.......high resistance somewhere else.?

I had the same issue with my WR, the battery would charge all night, put it on the car, might turn over once then die, but when I took it to a local garage to check they said voltage was reading OK, (if I remember right) it was something like it wasnt holding Amps, or something like that, despite my charger saying it had a full charge. Bought a new one and for the last 12 months havent had an issue.

My battery had a problem - I guess that's what happens to all of them eventually - one cell was discharged, so when all other five cells were full, it still was empty, no bubbles at all. So I charged it at least 3 nights at smallest charger setting, which turned out 15,5v/2A, and let the rest of battery boil, as there was nothing to lose. Eventually the empty cell got some charge as well, and I'm using that battery since then - it's not strong, but it works and probably will last this winter.

Question None the wiser?

After charging over night and leaving to rest afew hours, voltage was 12.8.
Checked for parasitic draw, meter stayed at 0.Opened door, meter showed about .6.
Voltage when cranking engine,was about 9.8 volts.After doing alittle research,this seems a reasonable outcome?What are your,thoughts?
Engine at idle,showing 14 volts.
Don't want to fork out on a new battery,if I don't have to?
Could be an intermittent,fault??
