Default Engine oil after changing

I had my engine oil changed last Friday or I think it was anyway, I have only driven about 30 miles, today I checked the oil and to me it looks the same as when I took it, shouldn't the oil be quite clear after oil change? Now it's almost black, I'm sure I'm being ripped off.

Did you have the filter changed too? If so does that look new?

any garage doing an oil change you'd think should be doing the filter as a matter of course.

I'd be having words.
