Default A4 ignition switch part number

Anyone out there know the correct part number for an A4 1996 (November) Ignition switch contact block. wifes car ignition switch no longer returns on its own after turning to the start position and needs manually turning back to ignition position. Thanks
Think I heard they changed during 97 year or thereabouts so need to be sure I get correct spare from GSF.

i've got the same problem with my other halfs A4 it may not be the switch it may be the ignition barrel
which means a new barrel and key which has to be reprogramed to the car so not a cheap job
it was a recall but Audi have now stopped it, you're looking at £90+vat then someone to programe the key

You need to get the number off the old switch. I had the same problem last year and bought a genuine switch from TPS, trade parts specialist http://www.thetradepartsspecialists.co.uk/

is it the plastic switch that cottects to the ignition barrel that that packs up or is it the barrel it's self that goes
