Wondered if anyone has come up with a solution for this other than replacing the windscreen of course. This has happened on 3 of the 4 80's I've owned over the years and really spoils the apperance. I was thinking in terms of some black vinyl to mask over it.
Attached a couple of pic's of my current car. Any ideas would be welcome

Thats is called "GLASS CANCER" it happens when the 2 sides of the glass detache from which other. Its danger because they can brake at any time, i have the same problem with the Accord. Replacement is the solution.

Also I read in the online version of the MOT testers manual, that they're allowed to fail a car with anything stuck on the screen which restricts the view out of it, other than tax discs etc. The other exception is the dark edging that's on some screens as standard.
Found it (doesn't seem to say delamination is a failure though) Quote:

Mines done the same thing.... I got fully comp with the AA and on their policy windscreen repairs is covered as a freebie without effecting no claims etc.
So I think I will be calling Autoglass or someone to come and replace my windscreen. |
