Default Help Please

totally frustrated with this audi b2 90 gearbox car has been sitting for more than ayear before i bought it back started it today went too press clutch its solid switch off engine stuck it in gear start engine no jump or engage engine running can go throo gears no movement a fellow audi member talked me throo diffrent scenarios and we r stumped ave checked linkages move by hand opend blled nipple for slave got peddle moving but no gears jacked it up stick it in gear both fron wheels move am at a loss open for suggestions owned car for 8 years before i sold it 2 years ago and it ran like a dream anyway hoping sumone is able too help or suggest sumthing too me please

No CV joint issues?

This sounds like it could be a case of a stuck clutch plate.

Put it in gear with the engine off and rock the car backwards and forwards until it releases, or easier still pull it with another car until it does the same.

no cv joint issues car wont go into gear too do this cant get gears atal thats wat i planned on doing its strange i can start the car clutch out and go throo all the gears even reverse and nuthing engaging

Has the clutch slave cylinder stuck out, ie holding the clutch in ? this would allow you to select gears but you would have no drive, undoing the bleed nipple would not release a slave cylinder that has stuck. as I recall it's bolted on underneath so easy to remove and check

clutch peddle was solid when tried pushing it in i released the pressure on the nipple just wondering if this wats caused the no gears maybe clutch fork aint moving or engadging sumthing too do with the fluid?
