Default clutch peddle has just gon to floor

hi just been driving out in my ur s4 and went to change gear and clutch pedle went straight to the floor , and now i can not select gears or anything , i think it must be cable snapped however the pedal just goes to the floor and locks to the flloor and does not come back up unless i pull it up, any ideas or thoughts would be great cheers

Check the fluid in your clutch fluid reservoir. If it's empty or it has gone down I'm guessing it will either be your slave cylinder or your master cylinder.

If it's the slave cylinder there is likely to be clutch fluid escaping from the bottom of the bell housing and dripping out from underneath.

If it's the master cylinder you should be able to feel the fluid on the foam backed mat just above the clutch pedal................lovely job !!!

Cheers,

Steve

Same thing happened to a friends 200. He some how can pull the pedal up with his foot and push it down when he needs to shift.

This is how it looks on a UR RR. Having done two of these so far, I don't envy you if you have to take the pedal box out as it's an awkward job.

Again on an RR the stud just fits into the master cylinder and you adjust the pedal by moving the nut on the end of the threaded bolt. Ideally you need the old one so you can put it alongside the new one for comparison.
