a ha! i'll probably have to revisit this thread once i have more time as I'm just trying to tidy up the garage after nearly 2 weeks of not putting stuff away properly due to "i'll need that tomorrow" .... anyway, the '92 Quattro is mobile, plenty of stress involved and still some ongoing issues but more on that later to! in the mean time, yes I'm a trucker and i take chickens to their death! ........

My father was a truck driver for 30 years, never followed in his footsteps but only because he told me never to. He always said, 'don't become a truck driver, it's a lonely life'. Having said that, I spent every holiday and some weekends traveling the lenght and breath of Ireland, there are places no one has ever seen that I've been to. I was still going off with him in the truck well into my 30's, I loved being on the road so much. Still do, will only need half an excuse to drive a hundred miles!

His last truck was a Volvo FL10, 1995, he retired from driving about 10 years ago and still misses it. I'll see if I can find any pics, highly unlikely but you never know...

Finally found her, Dad's last truck, loved that truck. And I was wrong, she was an FH12. Wonder where it is now?

I like the madmax truck, never seen it, it looks like it may well be dutch, those boys and girls have quite a unique style that is very cool - the two tone wheels is normally a clue

this is one of my friends first trucks, I did pretty much all of the paint work on this truck to make it look like this from just another exmaritime scania, I still take care of most of the paint work on the now 6 trucks he has, unless its a massive undertaking like a chassis paint, I don't have the time or facilities to do that kind of job these days!

in my garage, this is how it got done, bit by bit, as there was no rush, we started in November and had until February as that was when he was hitting the road for the first time

where theres a will theres a way
