Default Porsche take over VW (and Audi)

Surprised no-one has been talking about this. Porsche buy over 50% shares in VW and hence Audi.

Read all about it here: http://www.pistonheads.com/porsche/d...?storyId=19189

So Porsche own VW, Audi, Lamborghini, Scania (maybe), Saab?......who else? They plan to buy up to 75% shares by summer, thus giving them full control.

Maybe now we will see Audi making a return to RWD A4's?

Its been on the cards for a few years now

I doubt Saab will be as they have been part of GM group since the mid 1990's- and have been under full GM control since 2000 when GM bought the majority share. Even though GM are in a bad way I can't see them selling Saab (they make no money for GM) and they are too heavily linked into the GM parts bin, besides any real Saab identity has now been lost since all of their models are vectras or subarus underneath - quite sad really...

Not really - most people think of Scania or Saab and think they are still linked.

I thought they were myself to be honest or at least part of GM.

Can't see Porsche doing it for any other reason other than financial gain.
it would be sacrilege for them to cease production of the 'competition' such as the R8 and Gallardo, and I doubt very much that they would do that anyway as they are hardly the kind of company who would shaft themselves in the foot.
