Default Anyone been blighted with flu this year?

Well just over a fortnight ago I had a sore throat & was generally feeling sluggish... a few days passed & whilst at work I actually had to go home during the afternoon... I'm not one for taking time off sick, but oh boy did I feel grim!

Anyway I didn't eat for 3 days, was sick, continual headaches, sore throat & OMG the tiredness & lethargy! Struggled to eat much at all for the following 3-4 days, lost a load of weight (not that I carry much), and I think now I'm well & truly over the worst of it.

But I still have headaches, sore throat & feel knackered! Worst flu virus ever!!

Been there! Pig flu. The three year old and the one year old didn't like it very much! I didn't stop work either, deliberately baked myself in bed all day one day to induce a fake fever and speed up my immune system. It worked! Next day was fine. went back to work, three days later passed out twice (first time in my life) and face planted a window sill in an attempt to reach a sofa before I hit the floor. I missed.. Fkn agony, I imagine that's what it's like to be hit in the face with a cricket bat. Looked like I'd stuck my head in a mincer for a few days. But look fine now I've peeled all the scabs off, big ones!

Yup blighted is the word.
Had it last year for over 5 weeks, kept coming back and culminated in a monster infecttion that put me in the local hospital for two days near enough.

Then had it again two weeks ago today......felt like absolute shit, no energy, throat was so sore, didnt do a thing for 4 days, didnt eat food was just yuk couldnt look at it, and lovely to wake up at 2 am absolutely drenched in cold sweat, ooh my fave! Fun. Not.

Hope thats the last of it for the rest of my life now, i hate feeling bad.

Ahh swine flu... just read the symptoms & that sounds about right! Ouch that doesn't sound too epic

Oh when I went off ill from work I've never been back!! Much to my bosses dispair, but tbh I couldn't even really drive as I was away with it... no sense of balance either, kept falling over things lol!

Still I'm pushing myself atm to sort myself out for the 'return to work' on Monday
