*Please don't shoot me
*For sale is my lovely 1985 CQ, which has been enthusiast owned for the past 3 years, and as far as I'm aware, garaged prior to this. Details: 110,200 miles Tax 31/05/12 Mot 26/05/12 6 owners I bought this coupe back in October from Flyffy's Flyer with the intention of light daily use and for her quattro capabilites due to my location. I really couldn't let this car go as it was in such lovely original condition. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The car is mechanically sound, probably one of the best I've come across and you can tell from the feel that the car hasn't had a hard life. The engine fires up on the button and ticks over smoothly and quietly, she still pulls well right through the revs and is surprisingly frugal. The gearchange is smooth and direct and the controls are light like any modern car. The brakes are in great condition and the car recently had a new rear caliper. The only real mechanical fault is a small hole in the rear box that can be repaired. The bodywork is in good condition for the age, but the car is showing a few bits of corrosion in the usual areas; both rear arches have blistering, which has been repaired by the previous owner as a temporary fix. The o/s/f wing is showing blistering which is reiarable, the bottom corner of the windscreen whcih has also been reapired previously is starting to come back too. The rest of the car is solid and the paint is still bright red and the arches and underside has been undersealed. The interior is superb, with only slight pulling starting on the driver's outer bolster. All electrics work, including the LED gauges and the diff locks still work as they should. Both electric windows are still quick and the "quattro" heated rear screen will bring a smile to anyones face on cold mornings. Recent work and parts include; Dent removal and partial respray on OSR qtr panel. Spare sunroof panel painted to match - no rust. Full service with genuine oil filter, Bosch service parts and Synta 10w40 (107,500) Replaced 1x Bosch injector for new. Replaced all injector seals. Replaced inlet manifold gasket. TB cleaned out. New Bosch wiper blades. 4x 185/65 Sava Eskimo S3 M+S Winter tyres fitted. Breather pipes cleaned out. All vac hoses replaced for 3mm silicone hose. Fuel sediment trap replaced after blockage. Head unit wired up to ISO blocks, but will include original connectors. The car comes with 2 keys, original books, MoT's back to '94, service history back to '93 and stacks of receipts. Any trial or inspection welcome (although many of you will have seen the car before). I'm selling due to having just bought another B5 S4 and my track car now requires an engine rebuild. The price is £2,300 ono, although the car stands me at a fair amount more. Sensible offers are welcomed. More pictures available upon request. |

That looks very nice. They look so much better standard and unmolested. I like that a lot.
