I did the following to one panel on my B4 80 as a tester.
Wash with Armorall detergent. Dry. Clean with some tar cleaner stuff I got Wash again. Clay with lots of Meguiars quick detailer. (got rid of lots of ingrained white specks of paint). Then I got my random orbital polisher out (Halfords one I think). Used Menzerna Power Gloss, several times, both hard pressure and light pressure. Can't get rid of deep scratches. ![]() ![]() ![]() As you can see, the rest is nice and shiny. Do I need a more abrasive compound? Or is it worth getting something like this? http://www.machinemart.co.uk/shop/pr...C=SRC-polisher

it is a 2 handed one like this:
http://www.amazon.co.uk/Superline-Po.../dp/B003MEV8NE Was using a blue pad, not a wool one. But I have a wool one. DOes this promote more heat which breaks it down? Think I might need G6!

they aint great tbh them polishers for what you are wanting, ive got a g220 megs and thats half decent , you need a decent agressive pad either 3m or sonus sfx , there is also a knack to doing it too.....and it takes a while on each panel, i put a big scratch on mine with my watch at adi last year and that took an hour to get out and i spent 3 hours on the bonnet this year .....have a look on detailingworld or bug coxxy

Will look at rotary ones. Can't afford £200 though.
