"Injecting" more power?

Hey guys, I need the expoits help here, could I fit 1.8 or 2.0 8v injectors into my 1.6 ADA engine?

I was thinking about sticking bigger/ higher flow injectors into here with a higher pressure fuel regulator to start boosting the power alittle?

Well this would just be the start, I've got a cam on order and intend to have the car mapped as well, and why bother you ask?

Why does anyone bother to tune a car?

I think the reason he asked why is that for the price of you cam you could have probably bought a 2l 16v (or other bigger engine) and it would fit straight in and instantly be more powerful, just my thoughts anyway

Injecting more fuel is easy, you need the air to burn it with, getting that in there is the hard part.

yea, but I don't have the space or the equipment to do an engine swap . . . . also trying to get a 16v engine here in N.i is not easy. The 16v engine only gives 138bhp iirc? My current engine as standard puts out 100bhp and would be light than the 2l 16v would it not?

not sure what power audi claim but the abf motor as found in mk3 golf gti's are 150hp and they aslo have significantly more torque than a 1.6, buty of you havnt got the means to change the engine it doesnt really make a difference. even with a cam in your 1.6 i serioulsy doubt you'd ever see even 138bhp. are the 1.6 motors crossflow head or non crossflow like the 1.8 and 2l?

I know I'll never get 138, but 10-15bhp more than what I have is obtainable, anyway regardless of this, I'm not asking for opinions here, I'm asking a simple yes or no question, which I will remind you all of, will the 1.8 or 2.0 injectors fit the ADA engine?

Probably they do. But don't forget your engine is controlled by ECU. So at least theoretically there must be no improvements, maybe ECU will get error insted. Practically, dunno.
Why are u looking at that bhp figure? Motorways are limited to 70 mph, so 1.6 sewing machine with 100 bhp instead of 75 [for the same engine with carb] is still sewing machine and 88/90 bhp 1.8 carb engine is stronger [it has more torque] anyway.
Well, what kind of equipment do u need to change engine - modern car repair shop?

If I would have such a need, tools probably would cost some 30-50 pounds.

Realistically the only tool I'd need is an engine hoist, plus like I said there is the difficulty of getting the 2.0 16v engine here in northern ireland, plus I would need the exhaust manifold and down pipe, brain, and possibly other 2.0 parts that my 1.6 Ada engined 80 doesn't have

Engine hoist can be substituted with some "stick" that's long enough [wider than car] and two strong friends, exhaust manifold goes with the engine, and it's silly to buy engine without other stuff [when buying from junkyards/scrapyards, they usually got whole car

], and why are u looking at 2.0 16v? Again because of that horespower figure? Get a 2.0 8v. ABK, of course, not ABT. 8v in "daily rev range" [2-3k rpm] has a bit more torque than 16v anyway.
