Bought this in December as a runaround while I build my twin engined Golf. It's a really, really nice car but it's not as fast as I'd hoped (it's not slow, I'm just used to faster!), and rather than rip it to shreds to make it lighter and upping the fuel consumption I'd rather someone have it who will appreciate it for what it is! I bought it with the n/s/f wheel trying to escape and the MOT about to run out. That's been rectified with new wishbone bushes and cv joints along the way ![]() Only bad parts - ![]() ![]() ![]() Touch of rust along the top of the screen and the leading edges of the front arches ![]() Small hole in the passenger lower bolster, and the bonnet is marked, but it's not that noticeable, can't really see it in pics. The right bank is tappety from cold and the battery has gone flat from lack of use (jump starts fine and holds a charge after a decent drive) that is totally honestly all that's wrong with it! Comes on standard wheels - ![]() Please don't ask if I'll sell the Borbets, I won't! £1500 ![]() |

I was quite interested fella, but to be honest am put off a little by the rust issues. I don't think you are a million miles away with the price.
Good luck

Does it have FSH? Any receipts for work carried out? What are the tyre conditions? (matching set of decent branded tyres with 6mm of tread, or a mismatch of budget ditchfinders, with 1.6mm of tread)? Look on the positive side! |
