Audi 80 - Silver Strips

Hello,

As ever its for my 1985 Audi 80 GL. What I am looking for is the two silver plastic strips that are places on the curvature of the Sills, its like a chome effect.

First off, does anyone know how to get my originals off without damaging them, does anyone know how they are fixed on? The seems to be simply glued on in certain places, but maybe im worng...?

I have a little rust treatment that needs doing but these really need to come off to get it done effectivley.

Hi Simon, Are these that run the length of the sill on the top of it as a finisher? The ones that are matt black on Sports of same era? If so; held on with platstic friction bushes, need flat blade applied next to each one & gently lever off each & aviod too much pressure, else will bend There are about 8 - 10 of them from memory. If I've got wrong bit apols!

I have some of the matt black ones from a Sport. Currently still attached to a Sport....

Hi simon if you phone the number in your pm and speak to andy he will sort you out with yourf bits, he bought the car for screen a pillars and will break the rest. The car is near meadowhall sheffield so it isn,t too far.
