Default 31mpg!

Went on a trip to Derby and back yesterday (260 miles) and got 31mpg out of the 100 quattro avant! Not bad for a 1.4 tonne 4WD battle cruiser with a 2.3 litre engine cruising at or about the legal limit.

That's on Shell V-Power.

Costs 6.5% more but gives 7.5% better mpg.

29.5 mpg today.

BP Ultimate is better than Shell V-Power (more power)

Regularly see over 30mpg door to door - Manchester - Sussex with the S2, and that's MTM'd at very good motorway cruising speeds... lot of it's the power used regaining speed... If you have to slow down, don't clog it up to speed again, and if you've got 'scrote-van-man' up your tail pipes, I always think, 'why should I spend 50p extra just so he can get home 15 seconds quicker'. So come back up to speed gently.

I really need to change my driving style I think!

I pulled up on the drive today and the average MPG counter read 12.5mpg.

Cos mine is KE-JET with the twin throttle butterflies, I usually just use the first one to get up to speed. Just use both when overtaking.
