Sad! Sounds like a really shit thing to say but buy a good one now. For me I would love a 900 turbo 16v full fat from the mid eighties with full aero kit or a Caarlson!

I almost bought a white Carrlson. I dillied and dallied a bit too long and the car got sold. Ended up with my coupe instead as fate decreed

Wait wait wait wait wait

Bang

that's a 900 turbo for you. Like being kicked between the shoulder blades by a carthorss. I have fond memories of being driven quite quickly across Dartmoor in one in 1994

Yep. I'd agree, it is....

And, like the MG, it feels like it's on a winning streak...!!!

sad about saab but love the descriptions of the turbo lag, sounds like a car i'd enjoy.

Reminds me of a mates dad's metro turbo, had a lot done to the engine and when the boost was wound up in the car the rev gauge used to race the fuel gauge.

My step grandad had one of the very first ever 900 Turbo's brand new when they first came out, I LOVED it, and still do. Such a unique shape, Ive always wanted a 900 Carlsson (its double S not R lol), just a shame they dont have much power or Id consider one...

Also have good memories of going to many a Bristol Rovers game with Gerry Francis when he was manager there (a good friend of my uncle's) he had a 900 Turbo as part of being the manager, it some sort of special edition with the top half burgundy and the bottom silver/grey. Ive never seen another one like it since!
