Default VW T25 pickup with Audi turbo engine
Seller Type : Private
Vehicle Make : Non-Audi
Vehicle Model : VW T25/T3
Price : £1500
Location : Lancashire
Additional Details : V5C (Logbook),Taxed,MOT'd
On Ebay : Ebay Link

Here is a VW T25 pickup, fitted with a 1B engine out of an Audi 200 turbo.

This pickup was built by Diamond Hell on here, and I know the amount of work that went into it to get it done properly.

Brakes are awesome (www.futbus.com) and the engine bay is neat and tidy.

Reserve is apparently £1500. Coxy get this bought and take it to Santa Pod (the original intention for the build of it).

300 bhp easy!!!

Steve

just a shame the bed acts like an air brake! needs the back panel taking off
but yeh, as sleepers go, fantastic.

one day I'll find a decent SA T25 and then stick a 20v lump in the back!
Too many people in the VW scene have gone down the scooby route to get extra horses for pennies when the answer to getting a decent sound and real power is staring us lot in the face!
Must be fun to drive in the wet with 200 horses in a rear wheel drive bus with no weight as such in the back apart from the engine.

Diamond Hell did a naturally aspirated scooby engine into a syncro T25 Caravelle which was great fun especiallly round corners!!!!!

Got Futbus brake conversion on my T25 Crewcab (in preperation for the donor SA bus to give up it's running gear), and they are fantastic, using off the shelf VAG parts. Would love to have a go in that pick up.

may as well at least have stuck one in with a turbo hanging out of it!
Lad in our club is just putting a 2.2 scooby lump in his T25 using the RJES adaptor plate, and another lad in our club has a 2.2 scooby turbo lump in his ghia although he's never got round to finishing off the job!
There's a company in North Wales who were at Bus Types for the last couple of years with 2 of their T25's. One had the scooby conversion and the other had a 993 lump in it pushing out 340 bhp. To be fair the finished looked factory and the craftsmanship was superb, but at £15k ota for the conversion, it wanted to be!
Surprised not more people in the VW scene has stuck 5 pot lumps in the back given that they were available in South Africa. The gearbox/bell housing is the only real major cost.
