Default Engine Mounts....

Just replaced all of the engine mounts on my Type 43 200, was a bit of a struggle to put one of them in and I think the whole engine is now in a slightly different position. Now then... obviously this would be the case but should I loosen all of the gearbox mounts in case the new position is causing new stresses....Also one of the mounts (the difficult one) was not the same as the old one - but I made it fit (in theory it should be okay) - is this a very dodgy thing to do?

I don't want to adjust the gearbox mounts btw...

Don't forget that your old mounts were probably past it and had sagged into a different position than they would be in when new. As long as nothing seems too stressed it should be ok. Perhaps after a couple of miles it might be wise to untighten them then torque them again.
