If you had 10k?

My wife has decided its time for the old A4 tdi Advant to go as starting to cost money. Now her Grandad died a few weeks ago and she has decided that she wants a convertable mini cooper with some of the money, Not my choice... not my money. She said that we need a bigger family car as well as the mini. Now the A4 will trade at about 5k with the amount of miles on her and we have a 10k budget for the family car. There is only a couple of musts, 1. It must be an Audi 2. It must be reasonably practical. The missus said I can choose what ever i LIKE as long as its NOT a project.

WHAT CAR DO I GET?

I like the 1.9 TDI of course it would have to be the 130, or i would never get away with it!
Right let me think who's got an RS2 that like's me in Noggy blue that might want to part with it for 10K Hmmmmm!

I am assuming that you want a newer Audi when you say the A4 is starting cost money. The RS2 or S2 for that matter are older so I don't think you'd get away with that !!

Dave I sort of think thats the plan, but if something really nice comes up. The problem is running the hotel we need something that we take the cash and carry, take Maddie to school, take shit down the dump, then drive us to friends in Devon. So it's a tall order really. Do we buy another A4 Advant but the face lift model with a bigger engine, or slightly coming away from Audi and getting a Golf mark 5 GTI?
