Very nice Emjay.
Kicking it old skoool. Love the reel to reel. Technics made some really bulletproof solid state gear in those days. I still have vintage Heathkit tuner/turntable combo with a roll top walnut case and a set of Advent bookshelf speakers in walnut cases to match. Strictly for use on vintage vinyl. Sounds very different from "digital", much rounder and lush on early recordings. For new gear I like MacIntosh but can't justify the cost. I have to settle for Yamaha. |

Ah, this is right up my street!. I have got a full Technics Separates System which I bought in 1989/90. I remember it cost just under £2k which was a fortune back then. It still sounds spot on blasting out my Human League 12"s. I also have a Technics Separates Midi System which was the top model they did dating back to 1992, at £1k, which also sounds great, but it's not as good as the full size one. I remember how cool my DAT Recorder was back in 1990. It looks proper retro now. Same with the MiniDisc Deck.
