S2 Coupe (either 3B or ABY)

Hi folks

Just joined on here to see if anyone has, or knows of, an S2 Coupe that needs a new home??

I'm looking for an honest one for the basis of a 'track toy' project.

So, a mechanically sound but perhaps 'rough-around-the-edges' would be absolutely ideal...

I'm in Cheshire / Sth Manchester but have a trailer and will drive wherever for the right car!!

Any help is appreciated, please reply here, PM or drop me an email.

hi,

there is 1 for sale in this months Audi Driver.

since its sat in front of me here are the details:

firstly I HAVE NOTHING to do with this car nor do I know the seller.

ok, here its details then:

S2 coupe 230bhp( standard then

) 1996 N reg non airbag model, in a very rare lifestyle colour of cricket green ( looks nuclear green to me

)

has been dry stored on SORN for the last 5 years

the car has only 51,000 miles from new

with full Audi history

old MOT's etc

I ( the owner) not me remember) have owned since Feb 2001 in which time it has covered just 17,000 miles
Recent major serviceat a specialist garage which included MOT new cam belt,new aux radiator,new Varta battery and 2 new tyres

the car is in beautiful original condition inside and out with no modifications to engine or bodywork, drives and smells like a new car
usual S2 refinements Jacquard cloth interior with carbon trim Toad cat 1 alarm fitted
very reluctant sale( why he doesnt use it

I've seen that one on PH, has been advertised for about a week now I think.

Only two problems with it (for me):

1. It's 'too good'!! Would be a shame to thrash such a low-mileage minter on track
2. I need my Lucky Dips to come up on tonight's Lotto to do a deal off his asking price!!

Yeah, i'm on S2forum.com but the couple for sale are 'too good' for my needs - and as a result, too expensive...

One will turn up, but it's hard to be patient when you set your heart on your next toy!!

Yeah, I'm already regularly checking PH, Autotrader and the Bay of Thieves...

All the Coupes on PH are beyond my budget, the accident-damaged blue one up for £3k sold last weekend...

That would have done nicely with the upgrades it had (Porsche brake upgrade & 18" Avus wheels, all bushes done, Milltek exhaust) and the nice spec...
