Just wondering if anyone knows of an "off the shelf" manufacturer of headers for a KV engine?
Getting a bit pissed off with the cast iron manifolds - I'm shortly going on to my 3rd one in almost 12 months... First one cracked, so it was removed, checked thoroughly, ground drilled and welded then put back on. This one cracked again a few months later in a different spot, with the split tracking up and around the downpipe section - binned it and replaced with a known good one, and now 6 months later this one has called it quits as well ![]() Engine mounts are good, so its not the engine swinging about and smacking the manifold against anything - same goes for where and how I drive it - nothing hitting or scraping the exhaust and putting stress on the manifold... Getting a set made up seems like a bloody expensive exercise over here... around the $2000NZD mark ![]() |

When the manifold is off the car place a metal ruler along the face of it and you will see your problem, you will find that it is warped/bent like a bananna, you have to have it refaced that will solve your problem last for years once you have done this..
