hey jay,
it's the '88 WR, started to strip it out today, much work to come :-D and found the blue hose split behind the rear seats, running along the metal plate, really small ID looks like a air hose, comes from the front (behind the diff lock controls as far as i can see) runs all the way along the car and disappears behind the fuel tank. any ideas?
Also can i cut away the plate between tank and rear seats if there's gonna be no back seats in it (no strenghtning etc in it?)
cheers mate

Hi andy,

yes thats the hose to rear diff lock, are the white and yellow hoses ok? If you want a full replacement hose i have a few spare here from quattros.
As for the rear bulkhead what are you proposing? removing it will affect the rigidity between rear struts but not a huge ammount. You'd be best off welding in a strut brace bar that wont interfere with fuel tank fitting. Is it a trackcar?? You really need a bulkhead between passenger compartment and fuel cell otherwise it'll get into all forms of legitimacy mayhem...

ye, the white and yellow look fine mate, not going to be a track car, but a 2 seater, will get pics up as im getting some work done, going to be no rear seats and will be a custom fuel cell, so no need for rear bulkhead, but ye will definately weld a rear strut brace in. how much u want for the blue hose then and postage to norway? cheers
