Well it's down to written history now, cause there's no one left to ask.

What a life he must have had and to take all those memories onboard that were probably as vivid to him when he died as to when he was actually involved. R.I.P.

come on guy's there are still many things we should be proud of in this country.

We are a mongrel nation, a nation of diversity and compassion and charity, we have fried breakfasts, a national health service that still by and large and in my experience does us proud. We have great beer, Big Ben, the home of democracy, one of the best judicial systems in the world, wet weather but a wonderfully green country.

All the things we bemoan in this country are by and large experienced by most nations around the globe. incompetenat governments, shit roads, Audi NLA parts, muggers robbers, thieves and racial intolerance are not the sole domain of this country you know.

Depsite the times we live in, my I wouldn't want to live anywhere else. As far as England is concerned my glass is definately half full.

I can't speak for the Welsh though

RIP Harry Patch

I don't think that any of those young lads would have died for their country on the d-day beaches if they had known what was going to happen to their country 60 years down the line.....
