Has anyone got any close up pics of an RR air box please. In and out of the car would be smashing if possible.
Thanks Steve |

No Problem, If you need high quality pics send me your e-mail or do I have it already?!
If you are looking at this for the type 85 conversion you'll have to chop inner wing to get it in..

RR has only one application - typ85 ur, 3B two - typ89 S2 and typ44 A200 and each one have different filter box. Here, in latvia, is a lot of wannaberacers, who installs A200 10vt filter box that way - by chopping hole, otherwise A200 filter box will not fit. Ppls, who are smarter, either manages to get filter box from ur or finds something different [I have heared that in case of 10vt filter box from some 80's ford with k-jet can be useful] or manages to create air filter box themselves. And I don't think there is some kind of exception with RR engine - I just can't believe in ingolstadt was some man who can said "hey, we need install 20vt in ur, let's chop the hole!" ![]() |

My 3b airbox uses the normal KV bottom and had to modify inner wing to get top section in properly. RR airbox not a simple slot in, even for those doing a 20Vt conversion in an Ur quattro.

P.S. I know one guy, who created B2 A90 20vtq project as example - he didn't cut anything at all. Only problem was with intercooler, which hanged under front bumper, because there wasn't room for it somewhere in engine compartment, where it would do it's function.

Yep! Inner wing on a RR is different shape to accomodate larger RR airbox. No 'holes' just a different shape. Will try and locate some pics..

Other item relates to ensuring cool air is pulled in so made this heavy stainless chute to keep hot exhaust temps away from inlet.
