Default Where's me MAF Sensor.???

Anyone point me in the general direction of where my MAF Sensor is on the S6? Probably could do with a clean as I believe they get dirty and suffer as a result. Don't know me way around this 20vt lump yet too well!

most maf sensors are on the air in take pipe from the air box they are a hard plastic and have a multi plug going to it, you have to be very carefull cleaning them as they damage very easy

See pic, though it is a very fine wire and should not need cleaning as the unit has a burn off facility that on switching off heats the wire to red hot to burn off any contaminants. What makes you think there is a problem.

Just something I read on the S2 forum. If it doesn't need it then I wont bother but Im just don't know me way around a 20 valve turbo lump that well. I can turn a KV inside out now and upside down!

As per 20vcq's instructions, these dont need cleaning richard, they do it themselves.
The ecu momentarily increases current flow through the wire at startup to burn off any contaminants.
The only thing you can really do is ensure theres no leaves blocking it or suchlike.

Kv's exactly the same ( near enough) from the head down matey so youre half way there!

Yep agree there, didn't take me long to get my head round it....Having lots of problems to rectify also speeds up the process..
