Default rev counter n/working

rev counters dead.tried cleaning a couple of earths and all contections at the coil but still dead.anything else to check -back of insturment panel? any ideas?

can't seem to find a fuse or relay relating to rev counter-occasionally it does decide to work then when the engine is switched off and on it'll refuse to work! anyone else ideas?

Broken electrical path in instrument cluster/dead tachometer.
