My mom had an Invalid Blue Austin A35 (RUJ986).
I got embarrassed if she ever drove to school to pick me up in it.
Used to hide behind the back seat!

The one car that my folks owned and I hated with a passion was a 1988 Honda Accord EXI. It was the old man's company car at the time, but in my eyes it was just a souless, grey, tinny shitbox.
He kept it for ten years too! By which time everything, and I do mean everything had failed on the car. Our SD1 turned out to be more reliable.

He's made up for it since by having a couple of Range Rovers though.

My old Fella had a Saab station wagon in Dog Shit Brown, three doors with the V4 engine and a rear facing kiddies seat. Column change too. Now the buggers are cool. Mind you since then he's had some nice cars, God rest him.

Austin 1100... Nicknamed 'Aggie'... Blue (as in British Leyland, B'loo)... Rotten Subframes, welded on the welding...

Painful experience only made worse when they sold it for an Austin 1300... In Beige... Nicknamed... 'Aggie2'...

Then came a Yellow Metro...lovingly known as the Nasty Yellow Jelly (NYJ index)... By this time I was old enough to forge an independent life as an adult...

So I did...
