Default MC engine piston

Hi,
I am rebuilding an MC engine and 1 of my pistons needs replacing. Does anyone have a piston for an MC engine?

First off welcome to the forum, nice to see a post from a new member.

That's quite a tricky request as most people with MC engine won't want to part with a single piston.

To be honest I think you may have more luck over on the S2Forum as more people frequent that site and quite a few folk from eastern Europe on there do stuff with 10VT and MC motors.

Have you got a part No for them as it maybe interchangeable with another 10V turbo engine, though I think MC1/2 piston's are unique to that motor but I'm not 100% on that.

Hi and thanks for the reply.
I have managed to find a single piston that is in good condition. The block has now been sent to the machine shop for some work.
I will add a post in the newbie section with some details of the car and say hello there.

No problem...

That's a result getting a single piston that quickly, nice one I bet you're chuffed...

Can I ask what car this MC1 engine is destined for? A C3, or are doing something more interesting with it?

Sorry to be nosey just genuinely interested as I owned an MC2 engine C3 for a a short while, the plan was to pull the motor out and put it in a B2 90 quattro.

However I got my S2 running before really starting the protect in earnest, had the KV engine B2 quattro ready, however it had serious corrosion issues which would have taken all my spare time to fix and I wanted to be making my S2 faster instead...

I'm quite happy to wait for details of the project until you post up a thread in the Newbie section.
