bought a scooby myself a few years back, it broke my hart and my pocket!! changed it for a new vrs tdi octavia after 6 months, god it was a troublesome cu*t of a car!!

Heh-heh, I must say it's a cracking bit of kit. It's been well looked after too and almost entirely original.
I really rather like it. Still have the quat though of course!

A very good friend of mine, sadly no longer with us, had one from new on an "x". Drove it quite a few times, power ramped up very much like a healthy wr but much more so.It had excellent turn in totally unlike the standard one and a very wide power band. Generally a great useable car, let down only by the interior lifted directly from a 1981 datsun cherry.
