Up for sale at copart.
Why do I recognise it? Was it sold on eBay last year?

Any links?

Obviously no 20v’s in anything from factory of that age. (Other than a Sport Quattro and I’m guessing there’s not one of those on Copart).

I wonder how such a car ends up with Copart?

It says primary damage, undercarriage. I’m guessing it’s a fiscal write off. Replacing the front bumper and wing with OE parts is probably the thick end of £7k on an insurance job.

Why does the ad say 2144cc when there's clearly a 20v lump up front. DVLA not informed of the engine swap possibly ?

And those seats are not those from a 1985 car surely.

All those observations may contribute to it being on Copart, so although it was taxed and apparently insured until recently the fact that it is recorded as 2144 may also mean an engine change was not declared to the insurance company?

It’s chipped as well. The Wastegate has that classic ‘bolt’ through the top.

Also looks a bit rusty above the rear light cluster which isn’t the typical rust point. So may have previous accident repair showing through.

Not an expert but it looks to me like the driver's seat may drop through a rotten floor.

How do you see that? Which picture?
Admittedly I have only looked on my phone screen!

Last change of owner (well, last V5 change) November 2011. ..

Those photos are just useless.
A close up Of the radiator under tray , two photos of the exhaust. A photo of each wheel.

Undercarriage damage but no information.
Does it run?
Was oil dumped at high speed?

Current price maximum as an unknown risk. Would be worth much more if engine is perfect and just needs front spoiler repaired/replaced.

But it will always be a Cat S and never an ur 20v.

Edit:front offside wheel rammed backwards an inch. Ouch.
