Default New non audi project (but classic)

As the title says i have just aquired myself a new project (as if i don't already have enough).
The project in question is a late 60's volvo amazon 2 door with a rather severe roof chop,
the car was origonaly built in the early 80's and i am led to believe it was a street machine magazine cover car at the time.

Upon general inspection it needs both front floor pans, inner a outer sills, bootlid repair and quite a bit of work around where the roof chop was origonaly done where water has got behind the filler, plus there will no doubt be be a few more hidden delights when the paint is striped back. I ain't got a timeframe in mind, just do a bit at a time in between other jobs and projects.
will post some pics when i get the camera set up to the computer.

sounds familiar! Where did you buy it from?

My mate bought one 2 years ago from Hereford area but realised he'd cut off more than he could chew and sold it on soon after.
Had a severe roof chop, matt black and look harder than a pig with a flick knife!

The owner has had it for quite a few years and its been off the road for the last 5, a mate of mine was going to rebuild and paint it for the lady, but it was reluctantly decided on her part that it was not cost effective to have it done and that it would be cheaper for my mate to build her a freshly chopped car from a good shell. The car has lived in wakefield for a lot of years and now resides in leeds.
The colour of the car is metalic lilac with steel wheels and trims, astra gte front seats and a "toothed grill" made from bumper overiders and dummy spots on the scuttle pannel oh and a chain link steering wheel, propper 50's lead sled style. The plan is "hot rod" it, satin black with flames red wheels with beauty rings and chrome centres.

Just got it home over the weekend after nearly 6 months in storage but it isn't as good as it looks.

by the looks of it, you were copying the wrong url line out of photobucket.
You need to click on the one that says IMG code which is the fourth option down
