A neighbour is having issues with his VW transporter, and is trying to get his head around the diagnostics; one area being the glow plugs.
Does anyone have access to any circuit diagrams, 2005 model 5cyl diesel, and what voltage do these glow plugs run at. Also, fuel injectors.

Glow plugs take battery voltage, regarding injectors it will have old style mechanical pump as it's 5 cylinder?......so not common rail.
Incidentally a friend had starting issue with same 5 cyl engine, he replaced fuel filter, glow plugs and relay but still the same... turned out to be the temp sensor. |
