Hi All,

Sooty Is back!! Had her for a while but the time has come to sell again, apologies for the genericness of the ad but I didnt want to write it all out differently every time. Enjoy!

Please make no mistake, this is no show car. This is a good looking, hardworking, reliable daily driver. You will be hard pushed to find another car quite like this.

I have owned this car since September 2013. When I bought the car it was rather tired and required some work to get it back in a useable state, however during my ownership I have replaced or refurbished just about all the major mechanicals, this has made it into a VERY reliable car indeed.

The basic car spec is as follows, unless otherwise stated everything works as it should do:
* 1993 K Reg
* 1.9 TDI 1Z Engine
* Manual 5 Speed
* ABS
* Electric Sunroof
* Manual Windows
* Remote Central Locking (with flip key)
* MOT Due: Nov 2016
* 4x Dunlop Sport BluResponse (all have plenty of tread, fronts were new less than 1000 miles ago)

The car has done 270,000 miles, but you will see from the extensive list below that there is very little left that can go wrong:

In my ownership I have done at least the following but probably more:

The engine/drivetrain:
* Head gasket/cylinder head refresh
* Clutch
* Oil Pump
* Big End Bearings
* Main Bearings
* 110 Injectors
* PD Inlet Manifold
* Front Mount Intercooler
* ECU Chip
* Timing Belt (@ 245,000)
* All Aux Belts
* New OEM Engine Mounts

Chassis:
* All bushes are now pollybush inc rear beam mounts, subframe, wishbones etc
* 312mm Vented front disc conversion
* Later Audi aluminium rear calliper conversion (new recon callipers)
* New cobra 50/40 springs
* New OEM top mounts
* New Front Lower Ball Joints
* Wheel Bearings Front & Rear
* Short throw gear shift ball (MK1 golf mod)

Interior:
* MK4 Golf front seat conversion (will take any seats from that era e.g. A3, S3, Seat Leon etc)
* New OEM heater matrix
* Later style gear knob & leather boot
* Later style centre console switches
* Oil Pressure and Boost Gauges
* Bluetooth hands free kit
* Blaupunkt Radio/CD with AUX input and USB

Exterior:
As you can see this is no ordinary Audi 80 saloon, one if its previous owners spent a great deal of time and money converting it into an Audi S2 saloon recreation, I won’t go into detail here as I’m sure you know what one of those is, and actually how rare it is. To achieve the look the following parts were used:

* S2 Avant Rear Bumper
* S2 Front Bumper
* S2 Avant Doors
* S2 Wheels
To make the wheels fit a set of S2 5 stud front hubs were used and the rear hubs changed also.

All the above parts are rare and hard to come by. If, heaven forbid this car was broken in the future, there are plenty of valuable parts attached to it, but for now it still has plenty of life left in it.

The Bad Bits – The only real bad bit is the bodywork. There are many dings, scratches and scrapes that have occurred over its 23 year life and the paintwork is a little patchy. If you know anything about these cars you will know that they were galvanised, so do not rot, however there is some surface rust in places, and a little bit of bubbling on the front arches. There is also a chip in the driver’s side headlight glass.

As mentioned, this is no show car, but as you can see the mechanicals are in very good shape. I was using the car to commute 300 miles a week and it did this faultlessly. I have given it regular oil and filter changes and it has wanted for nothing. I now have a job much closer to home and no longer need the car. If you want a good reliable car, that’s a little different and turns heads then this is the one for you.

The car is located in Harrogate and viewing is recommended.

I am asking £1250 ono with cash on collection please.

Those seats look quite at home in there
Love the spec of this car, a very nice daily drive I'm sure and will go all the better for the mods to the engine?
