Default Got some of me bits!

Got myself down the parts suppliers this morning and got some required parts to get this 1B i had from Crisarc restored, its sat on the bench for far too long and needs to be finished. Ill do it to the same standard as Ralfs engine so itll take a wee while just yet.
Anyway, pictures!

New exhaust manifold studs.

New valve guides.

New standard mains and big ends.

A new bottom end set, core plugs, water pump cam belt and a head set; Which as ever i ended up having to take back as someone had been break dancing on it in the packet and warped the fire rings to hell....i always end up doing two bloody trips for parts!

So monday if i can battle thru the snow ill be off down the engine shop and cost up a set of KS or Mahle pistons for a bore and hone.
Once thats out the way i can start on putting it all back together, powder coating all the alloy parts and dropping it completed in all its 5 cylinder glory on the living room carpet completed as a talking point for visitors.....or maybe not the last bit.

woo hoo! looking forward to another cool engine photo build up thread!
Very informative I must say!
I feel like I know RALF inside out from your last build up thread!

What are the end plans for the engine after it's built?

Hmmm you really sure you want me to witter on about my bearing clearances or how much of an interference fit i got with the guides?

Original plans were to source a CQ and drop that 1B engine into it, but since ive aquired the 20vt itd be rude not to do the same and drop that in.....
First off i need to find a decent shell tho....dont care if the mechanicals are ropey as long as the body is straight and not "holey"....
Let me know if you spot one lurking anyplace....
As for this 1B, well i may build it and store it up for a rainy day or maybe sell it on, itll be fully documented anyway like Ralfs engine.
