Default frontLH flaser not working

OK, help please !
Got the B2 Sport out Wednesday afternoon for a short drive. Got to first left hand turn and indicator flashing twice it’s normal speed. Ah bulb blown ( but it had been OK last time I put it away).
Get home.
LH front still not flashing , swapped another second hand bulb and tried a new bulb, same result no flashing.

Also checked for corrosion, looks fine but cleaned it anyway.

LH rear ok , RH side working ok.
Hazards work ok, at correct speed but not LHfront.

Checked voltage at bulb socket , zero

Traced wire back into loom near LHheadlamp, traced loom into car ( after removing glove box , radio amp etc etc !! )to where it goes up into the fuse box assembly, could check both wires ( presumably front and rear – both look like grey with black trace) . Wires seem secure into multiplug that plugs into fuse box assembly .
So ????
Break in wire , somewhere, although all but a few inches are wrapped in a loom? But it was OK when I put it away about three weeks ago.

Can’t be the flasher unit (?) as the LH rear flashes albeit at double speed, hazards and RH side are fine . Actually where is the flasher relay as I can’t find it !!

Flasher relay might be behind the instruments. Have a vague recollection of it being out of the way. Or is that the hazard relay. Either way, one of them is somewhere stoopid.

Earths?

You might have issues measuring straight voltage at the socket, as some DMM meters simply won't respond sufficiently fast enough to give a proper reading, whereas doing a continuity check will give a more clear result. Check supply pin of the dodgy lamp to supply pin of one that works. Old wiring, so don't expect zero ohms, but you should be close.

Is there an alarm system in there anywhere?
I know I bang on about them, but the damage done with skotchloks is worth grumbling about.

Welded joints in the harness don't often fail, but chafed wires will be a real possibility.

In the lamp itself, don't discount a cracked contact in the housing. You might get a supply to the pin, but once a bulb is in place, it puts sufficient tension on the contact that it may open the crack. (Ooh er)
That had me cursing a bit on the V8!

IIRC the flasher relay is tucked up on the right behind the instruments...or was that the '91 Coupe?

Not working does sound like a bad earth to me....had loads of problems with just this sort of scenario on the 80 Sport that has now gone to pastures new....all bad earths!

flasher relay is behind the speedo,

check the earth ..

Dragging this up again only as I've realised that I failed to follow up the problem with the answer.
Not being good with car electrics other that very basic and obvious to a blind man stuff - I spent a number of hours on it ( and tidied up various loose bits as well).

Well MSH you were correct about the alarm!

It had an alarm back in the late 1980s, I fitted it myself , can't remember ths make but they were fairly common at the time.

During the 1990s it stopped working so I just disconnected the power to it and took off all the easy to take off bits.
Early this year I thought , as I had a few hours spare and it was a nice day, I'd remove the rest of the under dash wiring.

When disconnecting one of the wires, that make the indicators flash when the alarm
goes off, the spade in the cylindrical yellow multi plug was dislodged - the pin that locks it into the plug allowed it to come right out .
I reinserted it all BUT it seems that it still moved slightly and although , from the outside, it all looked OK and firm, the spade side wasn't properly fixed/held in place and was still moving just enough that the two were not properly connected all the time- in fact a very loose ' occasional touch' fit.
Everything now works a treat - except the occasional rad leak, the stuck open thermostat and a wire to the solenoid that appears to have lost some of it's insulation - looks like heat from the manifold - so that's the next job .Hope to get to ADI in it!
