That is a Salford (Manchester) reg, so a local car to the North West when new. Incidently, I remember my next door neighbour collecting his brand new Coupe Fuel Injection on the 1st August 1983 in that colour from Howarth in Rochdale. It was the first A Reg that I had seen. A291 HNE....ring any bells anyone?
